Tigers Lose to A’s 12-4, Defense Proves It Will Be Needed To Win Division

The Tigers had a 3-1 lead and Anibal Sanchez was cruising but then the defense fell apart.  So did the bull pen and lose 12-4.  Ouch.

Not the type of game you want to see in the final playoff push but going 14-0 was out of the question, I guess losses were going to happen and the A’s are in a playoff race too so you can’t expect them to lay down completely.

When Austin Jackson mis plays a ball as badly as he did I knew the Tigers didn’t stand a chance.

There really isn’t much else to say here except I hope they got the errors out of their system all in one game and try to play clean defensively for the next month.

Next up, the Twins come to town and if they don’t sweep them I may break a TV in the process.  The Twins are beyond terrible and have nothing to play for but I bet they would love to ruin the Tigers season so who knows.
