Verlander Regains Dominant Form, Tigers Win 3 Straight

Justin Verlander had some above average defense behind him and the Tigers put a few runs up early and that was all that was needed for their third straight win.

These games, against a struggling and shorthanded Indians team are the ones that need to be won to clinch a division so I don’t want to give too much credit for doing what you are supposed to do.

But it is nice to see an inconsistant team play consistent baseball for a few straight games.

Anibal Sanchez, who has pitched well for the Tigers recently takes the mound against Justin Masterson, who is awful, but dominates the Tigers takes the ball for the Indians.

Chicago is in Minnesota again, hoping for some of that late season Twinkie magic for some help today.
