Miguel Cabrera Leaves Game in 2nd Inning With Ankle Injury

those look too close to hospital scrubs for this picture to be funny in association with this news.

In the bottom of the first, Miguel Cabrera, hit a drive to the right centerfield gap that was run down by Anthony Gose as he made a nice diving/sliding play on the ball that looked like an easy double.

Cabrera winced and half jogged/limped to first before the catch.  In the top of the second inning, on a pop up to Prince Fielder, Cabrera moved awkwardly enough to get the attention of Kevin Rand and Jim Leyland for them to come out and check on him.

After no more than a minute of discussion, Cabrera came right out.  He was able to walk off the field and the Tigers are listing him as day to day right now.

Any prolonged stretch will definately hurt the Tigers as Cabrera is so crucial to their success and also because Raburn had 4 RBI in Toledo last night so you know that Leyland is just itching to get him back and into the line up.

With Omar Infante’s ability to also play third, he could come back and play 2nd and have Infante move over…please no.
